Bringing an old soul country sound to a newer country scene
howdy! My name is Dustin de la Garza, I’m 27 years old and I’m originally from Eagle Pass, Texas. I’m the eldest of four: myself, two sisters, and one brother. I am a 5th generation cowboy and grew up immersed in the cowboy lifestyle. Because of this, my interests naturally gravitated towards ranch work, team roping, and country music. I actually spent most of my life believing that my future was in professional team roping. To my surprise, God had bigger plans. Aside from being a cowboy, my father also sang in a country band back in his early 20’s. Watching him play guitar and sing is the reason I fell in love with country music. I decided to pick up a guitar when I was 17 and as I progressed, I began to play covers from Chris Ledoux, George Strait, Marty Robbins, and many others. Through the influence of these legends, I began writing my own music with the intention to leave my mark in country music as they did.
